That one-euro bundle looks amazing. But is it still amazing in month thirteen, when the promotion ends and the real rate kicks in? That is exactly the question we get up with every day.
Welcompare does not compare on the price that is displayed the largest, but on what a plan really costs you and gives you: the average price over the full term, the amount of data you actually use, and the quality of the provider. No small print, no hide and seek.
You can compare in two ways: yourself, with all filters open in the comparison, or by simply asking Welli, our AI adviser. Both work with the same data and the same logic. The difference is who does the work: you or Welli.
The best deal does not exist. The best deal for yóu does.
Messaging and e-mail on wifi is a different life from streaming on the train every day. That is why we do not present the same winner to everyone, but look at three things at once:
- What do you really pay? The average monthly price over the full contract period, with promotional discounts fairly included.
- What do you get for it? The amount of data, calling minutes and the conditions of the bundle.
- What kind of user does it suit? We assess every bundle for three usage profiles: light, average and unlimited.
That combination prevents a plan from ending up on top purely because it happens to carry a teaser price.
What you really pay: the average monthly price
Providers love promotional prices: cheap for the first months, full rate afterwards. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you know what you pay over the whole ride.
Example: a 2-year contract costs 5 euros for the first twelve months and 10 euros for the next twelve. The promotional price is 5 euros, but on average you pay 7.50 euros per month. We show that average next to the promotional price for every offer. The discount counts, it just should not dominate the picture. One-off costs such as connection fees are listed separately.
Which usage suits the bundle: three profiles
The same bundle can be a great deal for one person and wasted money for another. That is why we assess every plan for three kinds of users:
Light user. Mostly messaging, e-mail and navigation, often on wifi. Price weighs heaviest here: why pay for data and speed you never touch?
Average user. Social media, music and the occasional video on the go. Here we look for the balance between price, data and a connection you can rely on.
Unlimited user. Daily streaming, video calls, hotspotting. Speed, coverage and stability outweigh a few euros of difference. Unlimited with a low maximum speed is labelled honestly for what it is.
Sort the comparison by Best Deals and you see the result of this assessment. Prefer your own order? Sorting by lowest price or most data is always available.
The provider rating
Besides the bundle we also rate the provider itself. That is the star with the score you see next to every offer: the verdict of our telecom experts on the provider as a whole, covering the ordering process, network reliability and customer service, complemented by what customers themselves say on Trustpilot. A sharp price at a provider that does not answer when something goes wrong is still not a good deal.
Compare yourself: all the controls in your hands
In the comparison you see all providers and bundles together, so you do not have to visit twelve websites. Filter on what matters to you: monthly price, MBs, calling minutes, contract duration, provider, network, SIM type or a cost ceiling. Put your favourites side by side and look beyond the promotional price: the average monthly price, speed and contract duration tell the rest of the story.
Need more background? The knowledge base explains providers, networks and plans, and the monthly ranking and the Price Index show how the market stands this month.
Or just ask Welli
No appetite for filtering? Tell Welli what you are looking for, in plain language:
- "I use about 10 GB and do not want to pay more than 12 euros."
- "I want fast internet and a monthly cancellable plan."
Welli uses exactly the same data and the same comparison logic as the comparison tool, but does the searching for you and explains why a bundle suits you. Ask for the lowest price and the average monthly price weighs heavily. Value speed more and a slightly pricier bundle can win. Two people get different advice, and that is exactly the point.
You can also combine: let Welli preselect and then review its picks yourself in the comparison. Advice ánd control.
Frequently asked questions about comparing at Welcompare
Does Welcompare only look at the lowest price?
No. A low price is only a good deal if the bundle suits your usage and the provider has its act together. That is why we weigh price, bundle contents and quality together.
How does Welcompare calculate the average monthly price?
We add up all monthly amounts over the full contract period and divide by the number of months. Promotional discounts count; one-off costs are listed separately.
What does "Best Deals" mean in the comparison?
That is our own ranking: the balance between promotional price, average monthly price, bundle contents and quality, assessed for light, average and unlimited use. Not for sale, recalculated every day.
What does the score next to each provider mean?
That is the rating of the provider as a whole by our telecom experts, complemented by Trustpilot experiences. It says something about the provider, not about one specific bundle.
Does Welli use the same comparison as the comparison tool?
Yes. The same bundle data, the same logic. Welli just translates it into personal advice based on your question.
Can I keep comparing after Welli's advice?
Absolutely. Use the advice as a preselection and review the bundles yourself in the comparison.
